PS: Also, I am not able to modify the brightness - I downloaded the graphics drivers and they got installed to (AMD catalyst), but when I see dxdiag, I cannot see the 2 GB onboard gfx memory. Is there any way I could use my WiFi on Windows 8 now? I managed to find one half mini card adapter's drivers which belong to Lenovo - it did finally let me connect to WiFi, but it is unable to detect WiFi few metres away, while my WiFi get detected at a distance ~5x more. I found one for Windows 7 - ran it in compatibility mode - although, it failed after the error: update.cpp 1205 I could find different downloads for this one, few gave me an error saying OS isn't compatible. i tired downloading the drivers form the asus website and when i try install the i get error update.cpp 1203 and that the setup can not be continued. Wireless adapter: Broadcom BCM43142 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi M.2 Adapter I uninstalled the wifi driver for my asus t100 months ago and and now recently trying to reinstall it. ![]() I downloaded the drivers and could install most, but not Wireless LAN's and Bluetooth's. But while installing sp66403.exe file, it is showing error 'Update.cpp 1205' has occurred and Setup cannot continue. I tried downloading it directly from HP support center. But Wifi (Broadcom) driver is not available at hp official site for this model. ![]() Now here's the catch: HP does not provide drivers for this model for any OS apart from Windows 10. However, when I try to install the Broadcom Wireless LAN driver (HAI) v5.93.103.23 from the Acer downloads page, I get the following dialogue: 'The operating system is not supported. I have installed Windows 7 Premium 64 bit. I had to install Windows 8 Pro on it since Windows 10 was too slow for me. ![]() ![]() I recently got myself a HP 15-af114AU laptop which had Windows 10 pre-installed.
